My decision to use a concierge medical doctor was not on my radar screen because I was healthy – or so I thought.

Dr. Madwar had been my Internist for a few years. After he set up his new practice, we talked, and I decided to join. Now, nine months later, I would never consider leaving.

Dr Madwar offers more than medical services – he offers a life management service, with every aspect of my health managed for me. An example was the planning of my trip to Africa. After doing a complete medical review of required medicines and shots, Dr. Madwar personally built a contingency plan – a medical kit that included medicines and my printed health records (he also put them on a USB memory stick in case of emergency).

Truly unique in today’s world, Dr. Madwar has a caring and complete medical team that has time to concentrate on me.

In March 2008 we made a trip to Chicago to resolve some medical problems. We returned dissatisfied, disappointed and thoroughly disillusioned about the quality of Internal Medicine we encountered and, to make matters worse, with no clear answers.

On our return to Naples, we decided to start afresh and look for a doctor in a concierge practice with the hope that we could find someone caring who would take the time to really listen. We are embarrassed to confess there was no science to our initial approach. We went on-line, and searched for concierge doctors near our home.

Good fortune smiled upon us. We visited Dr. Madwar's office first and have been eternally grateful ever since. We never looked further. Scott Madwar exudes calm professionalism and epitomizes what a true family doctor should be. It is a pleasure to visit an elegant, comfortable doctor's office, a joy to see the doctor at the allotted appointment time and to never encounter a crowded waiting room!

We have been cared for by a wonderful team, from the supper-efficient and charming Nicole, to kind, caring Nurse Susan to Dr. Madwar, who makes you feel as if you are his only patient. Painstaking care and patience are their hallmark. Arrangements for specialized tests and appointments with specialists are made quickly and conveniently. No longer do we worry about "left and right hands" because communication between Dr. Madwar and everyone else involved in our healthcare is excellent. We thought doctors who answered their own phones, made house calls and followed up on patient care were things of the past but not so with Scott Madwar.

There are no words to express our gratitude to Dr. Madwar and his team and no praise strong enough to adequately describe the care and attention we have received. They are wonderful people doing a job they obviously love and it shows.

Hire Scott Madwar and you won't look in the rear view mirror with any regrets.

Sincerely,

Kay & Roger Haupt

Bruce and I have finally reached the light at the end of the tunnel! I am still convinced that we wouldn't be at this point of Bruce's recovery without you. Your care and compassion made a dramatic difference to his return to health as well as my comfort and peace of mind. "Thank you" seems insufficient for all we feel. You have been a shining star and we are very grateful.

I honestly can tell you that I have not had a doctor who I felt truly cared about his patients since I had a pediatrician as a child. It is a relief to know that we have a very competent and caring doctor in Naples.

We are still researching neurosurgeons in New York and are confident we will find someone we like and trust. We will keep you updated.

In the meantime, please know that our family is forever grateful to you for seeing Bruce through the crisis. He is a special man who is beloved by many. Have a wonderful and slower-paced summer. Enjoy the time with your family. We look forward to seeing you next season. We will definitely stay in touch. Best wishes!

With heartfelt thanks,

Bruce & Cathy Carswell

PS: Please give our best to Susan and Nicole. They are great assets to your practice.

Dear Scott,

I simply wish to express my great appreciation for the outstanding health care that you provide to me.

With the passing of my wife several years ago, I have been living alone. In addition, other than occasionally visiting the walk-in clinic, I did not have a personal physician here in Naples. I began to worry as to what would become of me if I were to suddenly become ill. Who would know, and what would be the accessability and quality of medical care. In October of 2006, a good friend was taken late at night to Naples Community Hospital. He remained there for three days. He too did not have a primary care physician, and so his care was the product of whomever was on duty at any particular time. As we later talked about our situations, it became clear that we needed someone to take charge of our medical well-being. By great good fortune, we were directed to you at the time your concierge practice was just starting. I have only been pleased, never disappointed. You visited my home at 10:30 one night to check on my son who was ill. You have made it clear that if I should ever need a specialist, you have the ability to make that prompt appointment with a physician known to you. This is a great comfort here in Naples when it can be so busy and difficult during the season.

Even more important though is the obvious intellect and caring that you bring to the practice of medicine. It seems clear that you truly care about my health, and that care is manifest not just in your response to a problem, but equally so in the ongoing dialogue that enables you to coach me as to better living and preventative health care. In our lives we make many decisions. Those concerning our health should be of the highest priority. My decision to join your concierge practice is easily one of the best and most comforting decisions I have made.

Thanks again.
