Born and raised in the Adirondacks in upstate New York and the daughter of a high school math teacher and a registered nurse, Dr. Rebecca Rock graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York magna cum laude with a BS in Biology, with awards including the Norris Prize and Phi Beta Kappa honors. At the University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, New York, Dr. Rock graduated at the top of her class with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. Accolades continued throughout her residency training as she received the Young Award for Outstanding Intern and Resident of the Year two years in a row, and served as Chief Resident in Medicine at Northwestern University’s Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL. With the close of her formal education, Dr. Rock combined her love of teaching medical residents with caring for patients while working in private practice and within multi-specialty groups and clinics at Northwestern University.
Rebecca paused her professional career and refocused her nurturing spirit in order to welcome two beautiful children into the world. In 2006, Dr. Rock and family relocated to Naples where she returned to her field of study with the goal of bettering the quality of life in her family of patients. Originally Board Certified after Residency, Dr. Rock took the recertification exam in 2008.
